Congratulations to our boys that competed in the Celtic Elite event in New Lenox. The boys did an outstanding job at the toughest of the Elite events in Illinois. 27 of our boys entered this event and 13 of them placed at this event, 5 made it to the finals (most of any club) and 3 of them won the individual title. Matt Ramos beat his long time rival Dyaln Ragusin from IZZY Style 4-3 in a come from behind victory in the last seconds of the match. Baylor Fernandes won his first title in this event in dominating fashion pinning Joshua Otto from Wisconsin in the finals. Finally Ronald Tucker won his second consecutive title by pinning both opponents and winning the Heavyweight division. Jimmy Pierandozzi and Dylan Burnoski lost in the finals but both boys had a great tournament in very loaded brackets. Rounding out the action was Conor Smetana took 3rd place, Jimmy Lalezas placed 3rd in the Midget Division, Jacob Dado placed 4th, Alex Villar also placed 4th in the 84lb division, Javen Estrada and Corey Sapp both placed 5th, Anthony Schickel and Luke Liberatore placed 6th at this years event! As a team we placed in the top 2 for the 3rd year in a row, we definitely opened some eyes and proved to be a solid contender this season!

Congratulations to our boys that competed in the Red Devil Rumble in Hinsdale. The boys did an outstanding job in this event yesterday. Only a handful of Raiders made the short trip but the results were amazing 11 kids competed , 9 were in the finals and 8 boys came home with a title. Champions from this event were Aaron Camacho, Gonzalo Camacho, Jean-Luc Guerra, Colin Kacena, Ryan Krestel, Michael Major, Robert Major, and Marcus Poe. We had one runner up Devin Aguirre……GO RAIDERS!

Congratulations to the wrestlers that competed in the Winter Fiesta in Carol Stream this past Sunday. 17 of our Raiders competed at this years event, all 17 placed in the top 3, 13 wrestlers were in the finals, and 7 wrestlers took 1st place! Champions included Devin Aguirre, Frank Berardi, Andrew Dado, Michael Major, Robert Major, Jake Mensik, and Jacob Mumm. Runner up champions included Ashton Breen, Jacob Dado, Nick Gantt, Jimmy Lalezas, Julian Medina, and Aidan Scholwin. Great job boys, GO RAIDERS!

Congratulations to our wrestlers that competed at the Aztek Rumble in West Chicago this past Saturday. We had a very impressive showing at this years event. 18 Junior Raiders competed in this event and 15 of them placed in the top 3, 12 of them were in the finals, and 6 won the individual title. Champions included Aaron Camacho, Gonzalo Camacho, Jean-Luc Guerra, Dominick Hargrove, Jimmy Lalezas, and Xevion Rolle. Runner up champs were Colin Kacena, Alex Lalezas, Aramis Martinez, Azeal Martinez, Jacob Mumm, Marcus Poe, and Aidan Scholwin. Great job, GO RAIDERS!
