Our next generation of Junior Raiders accomplished something that had not been done in our short history of attending this event. 5 individuals won the title at this year’s event (2 more than our previous record of 3). We had 13 in all compete in this event and 9 of them placed, 6 were in the finals, and 5 won the belt. As a team we placed 3rd behind Celtic Elite and SCN both had 27+ wrestlers compared to our 13. Champions included Colin Kacena 52, Micheal Major 55, Jean-Luc Guerra 55, Ryan Krestel 55, and Dominic Hargrove 70. Gonzalo Camacho placed 2nd at 66, Aaron Camacho placed 3rd, Marcus Poe placed 3rd, and Devin Aguirre placed 3rd. I am so proud of what this young group of wrestlers have accomplished this season and can’t wait to see them at the next level. Go Raiders!

DC Elite won by fall at 101 and Jake Mensik, Jacob Dado, and Corey Sapp won in consecutive matches to make the score 36-15. David Delgado lost a close decision but Baylor Fernandes beat his opponent 6-2, and made the score 39-18 with 2 matches to go.
