Congrats to Kyle Schickel and Robert Campos

Congratulations to Kyle Schickel and Robert Campos on winning the Indy Nationals this weekend. Kyle won the intermidiate 60lb title by pinning Dominik Lamazzo in 1:15. Robert Campos won by FF in the finals of the Cadet division at 100lbs. 9 out of the 14 wrestlers that made the trip placed in the top 8. Matt Ramos, Brandon Ramos, AJ Villar and Juawan Robinson placed 3rd, Alex Villar placed 4th, Jimmy Pierandozzi placed 6th and Angel Mendez came home with 7th place honors. Great job by all the wrestlers who competed.

Congratulations to all of our Bantam state placers this past Sunday. Angel Mendes won the State Title at 49lbs winning a 2-0 over SCN’S Drew Surges. Aj Villar and Ison Robinson both placed 3rd place, Gavin Jones placed 4th,Josh Dennison and Dangelo both placed 5th, and rounding out the action was Nichoals Mezes placing 6th at this years event. I was very proud of our Bantams and excited to see these guys next year. Thank you to all the coaches and the families that came out to support our team.

Raiders Capture the Team Title at Hawk Challenge

We had a great showing today at the Hawk Challenge in Fairbury Illinois. We registered 26 wrestlers and came home with 14 individual champions and 9 2nd places WOW!!! Very impressive, we also won the team title. Champions were AJ Villar, Alex Villar, Angel Mendez, Josh Dennison, Dylan Burnoski, CJ Bufkin, Gavin Jones, Baylor Fernandes, Jimmy Pierandozzi, Matt Ramos, Kyle Schickel, Nick Sullivan, and Ronald Tucker. Great Job!

Ronald (Lil Ron) Tucker Captures Tulsa National Championship

Congratulations to Ronald Tucker on winning the Heavyweight Title this past weekend at the Tulsa Nationals Championship. Ronald went 4-0 and won 1-0 in the Finals. Dylan Burnoski lost 7-5 in the semi finals, but battled back to take 2nd place honors. Javen Estrada also lost a close match in the semi finals and took 4th place. Baylor Fernandes wrestled tough all weekend and made it to the podium by winning his 5th place match by pinning his opponent. Many of our kids were a match or two from making the medal round, and wrestled extremely tough. This tournament is labeled the “The Toughest Tournament in the World” for kids wrestling and lived up to hype. The number of wrestlers were the highest in 12 years and all brackets were loaded with State & National Champions. I’m very proud of the boys, we are at the half way point and now look to prepare for the State Tournament.

Junior Raiders Dominate at Force Challange VI

For the second time in less than a month, the Junior Raiders edged the Harvey Twisters for the team title at the 6th annual Force Challenge. We had 25 wrestlers compete at this event and had 12 individual champions. Champions included Luke Dudney, Javen Estrada, Gage Goodwin, Gavin Jones, Nicholas Mezes, Vince Ochoa, Jimmy Pierandozzi, Josh Ramos, Kyle Schickel, Anthony Talaganov, AJ Villar, and Alex Villar. This is a very tough tournament, i am very proud of all of our wrestlers. Thank you to the coaching staff and for the support of all the parents! Go Raiders!
