Congratulations to our wrestlers who competed in the USAW/CK Folkstyle Nationals this past weekend in Cedar Falls Iowa. Four of our wrestlers placed in one of the nations largest folkstyle events. Leading the way was Jimmy Pierandozzi who made it to the finals in the 80lb Novice division (probably the toughest bracket in that age division) placed 3rd place going 5-2 on the weekend, Donovan Ford made it to the semi finals and placed 5th going 3-2, Dylan Burnoski lost in the quaterfinals and wrestled back to a 5th place finish going 5-2 on the weekend, rounding out the wrestlers was Juwan Robinson who lost in the quartfinals and wrestled back to 7th place and going 4-2. The competion in this event rivaled Tulsa Nationals, brackets were filled with multiple State and National Champions, our boys did an outstanding job and should be very proud of thier accomplishment!

Season 4 Is In The Books

Posted by Elias Medina at Mar 18, 2013 10:02AM PDT ( 0 Comments )

The Midget State tournament was the final event of our 4th season and I would like to thank everyone for making this our most sucessful season yet. Before I list our accomplishments this season, I would like to thank all of the board members Chris Ramos, Sherry Medina, Shariah Quinlan, and Laura Donkers for all their time and effort that goes into running a sucessful organization. I would like to recognize the coaches who volunteer thier time to train our wrestlers throughout the season Jay Estrada, Jim Fernandes, Chris Dennison, Joe Fitzpatrick, John Villar, Ivan Vasquez, Ed Mendez, Ken Krause, Ronald Fisher, Tony Pierandozzi, and Aaron Jones. I am so proud of our wrestlers that made it through the season, because in this sport it’s not always about medals, eagles, or bracket boards that define a wrestlers sucess, but those who didnt quit and made it through another season, in what I believe IS the toughest sport out there! Finally I would like to thank you, the parents that chose to be part of the Bolingbrook Junior Raiders. Without you guys none of this would be possible. Many people consider us in the top 5 clubs in the state of Illinois, that was never my goal when I started this 4 years ago. One thing I have found out that if you surround yourself with the right people…..anything is possible!GO RAIDERS!
