Raiders Make It 2 Years In A Row At Dekalb

For the second year in a row, the Junior Raiders won the team title at the Arch Richoz Elite in DeKalb. We had 8 kids in the Finals and 7 wrestlers came home with a title. Mathew Aguirre won the 55lb title and pinning all 3 opponents on the day,Matt Ramos won the 70lb bracket, Alex Villar won a close match vs. his teammate Kaleb Thompson, Jimmy Pierandozzi won his 2nd DeKalb title by pinning his opponent in the finals, Dylan Burnoski also won his 2nd title, Juwan Robinson bumped up a weight class to win the 147lb bracket and was named Outstanding Wrestler, Jacob Ramos won the 215lb bracket, and Ronald Tucker won the HWT division. Aztek Rumble Recap

I’d like to recognize the wrestlers who competed at the Aztek Rumble in West Chicago on Saturday. 23 wrestlers competed at this event and 18 were in the finals, 10 wrestlers came home with individual titles. Here is the list of champions Devin Aguirre, Jean-Luc Guerra, Lexi Krestel, Tyler Krestel, Luke Liberatore, Michael Major, Robert Major, Jesse Palomar, Xevion Rolle, and Keith Whitaker. Great job boys! Go Raiders!

Spartan Elite Xmas Duals Recap

Congratulations to our Dual Team that competed in the Christmas Duals yesterday in Chicago Heights. We went 3-1 on the day beating IZZY Style 45-40,Moline 57-32 to win Gold Pool. In the Championship Pool we beat Celtic Elite 53-33 in the 1st round and lost to Martinez Elite in the finals 45-33. It was a great dual and I was extremely proud of our boys all day long. Martinez Elite is the returning 2x State dual team champions and returning Xmas Duals Champions. Here is the box score in the final dual.

Force Challenge Recap

I would like to congratulate our boys that wrestled at the Force Challenge in Plainfield yesterday. We had 23 wrestlers compete, 12 wrestlers were in the finals, and 6 wrestlers took 1st place. Here are your Force Challenge individual champions Devin Aguirre, Donovan Ford, Colin Kacena, Michael Major, Robert Major, and Marcus Poe. Great job to all of our wrestlers that competed yesterday. Go Raiders!

Congratulations to the Bolingbrook Junior Raiders on winning the Celtic Elite Tournament (toughest elite event in Illinois).4 Raiders made it to the finals and 2 came home with an individual title. Juwan Robinson won the 138lb title by defeating Alex Harvey from Rochelle 4-2 in the finals, Ronald Tucker went up a weight class and won the HWT. Division by beating Christopher Flores 2-1 in the finals. Javen Estrada went 3-1 on the day, he placed 2nd by losing a decision in the finals. Dylan Burnoski went 4-1 on the day and lost in the finals to Reece Heller from Izzy Style 4-2. We had 5 other wrestlers place in the top 8. Alex Villar went 4-2 and placed 8th, Jimmy Pierandozzi went 4-2 and placed 4th, Fidel Mayora went 5-1 and placed 3rd, Baylor Fernandes lost his 1st matched and then won 5 in a row to place 4th (couldn’t advance by rule),Corey Sapp went 4-2 on the day and placed 6th. Many of our wrestlers may not have placed at this event, but we could not have won the team title without them, I’m so proud how our kids competed this weekend and look forward to the rest of the elite events.
